My name is Miranda and I am a graduate student in the Doctor of Audiology program at Northwestern University. I am originally from Manteca, CA and attended the California State University East Bay, where I graduated with a B.S. in speech, language, and hearing sciences, with a minor in business administration. I joined the Central Auditory Physiology Lab during the summer of 2020 to work on a capstone research project with Dr. Sanchez and George Ordiway. Our project will work towards characterizing the frequency selectivity and sensitivity of the central auditory pathway in new born chick hatchlings via auditory brainstem response (ABR). My clinical interests include adult and pediatric diagnostics, central auditory processing disorder diagnostic and treatment, and electrophysiological testing. My recreational interests include hiking, biking, swimming, and eating. These were a lot easier to do in California so I am currently focusing on eating.
