My name is Kristine and I’m a PhD student in Northwestern’s Neuroscience program (NUIN). I graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a Minor in Music — subjects which I’ve ultimately integrated in my efforts to study avian auditory mechanisms at the electrophysiological level. I’m currently using patch clamping and in ovo electroporation to determine how neurotrophin signaling affects the development of auditory brainstem nuclei. Outside of the lab, I’m a big fan of taking naps, running, and talking your ear off about Boston sports.
