Central Auditory Physiology Laboratory

Kailyn McFarlane

My name is Kailyn and I am originally from Dallas, TX. I attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ where I graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a minor in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. I completed my undergraduate honors thesis under Dr. Barbara Cone exploring cortical responses to spatial release from masking. My current research (using human subjects) explores the neural mechanisms in the auditory brainstem that contribute to one’s ability to understand speech in complex listening environments. Outside of school I enjoy playing golf, spending time outside, playing video games, and spoiling my two English Bulldogs.
