Central Auditory Physiology Laboratory

George Ordiway

I’m George, and my undergraduate degree was in Biology and Music at Haverford college. I have always done my best to study both of those topics in detail; my undergrad thesis used pairs of acoustic stimuli to assess habituation of a behavioral response in zebrafish. I also spent a year as a research assistant at University of Pennsylvania in Steve DiNardo’s lab, researching cell morphology in drosophila fruit flies. My main research interest is the structure and function of auditory neurons, which means everything from physiology to neuroscience and development. I am also part of Northwestern’s University Chorale and listen to all kinds of music but preferably classical and opera. My other interests include board games, traveling, puns, anime, and video games.
