My name is Cassie Helfer and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I’m a junior studying Neuroscience and Global Health. I joined Dr. Sanchez’s lab in the fall of 2017 and am currently working on learning the patch clamp technique to be able to study the electrophysiology of neurons. I want to pursue my interest in neuroscience by attending medical school and working as a physician. In my free time I enjoy working as a captain for club soccer, hiking, running, and reading.
