My name is Jane Kim and I am an undergraduate Senior majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I joined the lab my third year at Northwestern and have since gained valuable experience working with graduate researchers. I am currently working with a PhD student, Hui Hong, in her research of voltage-activated potassium channels in the avian cochlear nucleus. As a pre-med student, I hope to pursue primary care with the long term goal of engaging in urban medicine and community development. Beyond the lab, I volunteer at the Lawndale Christian Health Center. I love to run, hike, and longboard in my free-time and I am a devoted reader of Jane Austen’s novels.
